It’s important to get off to a good start. On the job market too, of course. That’s why waff helps people who are new to Austria.
New immigrants can take advantage of the following benefits:
- Information on work and careers in a variety of languages – as part of the Start Wien programme.
If new immigrants have acquired qualifications or undertaken education and training abroad, we check whether this can be recognized in Austria.
We also refund various fees. And we provide funding for vocational education and training.

Our service for anyone who is new to Vienna: information events on work and careers. This is where you will find out important information about:

Information in your native language
To help new immigrants find out about their rights, duties and opportunities on the job market, waff provides an overview in the following languages: Albanian, Arabic, Bosnian/Serbian/Croatian, Bulgarian, Chinese, Czech/Slovak, English, Farsi, German, Hindi, Hungarian, Polish, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
Participants should bring their Vienna Education Booklet (Wiener Bildungspass) to the event. You can find the dates of the upcoming events here; there is no need to register.
