First-Time Native-Speaker Job Counselling

The Vienna Employment Promotion Fund (Wiener Arbeitnehmer Förderungsfonds) runs events for recent immigrants in various languages on the topic of ‘work and employment’ as part of a City of Vienna initiative to help immigrants settle.

First-time native-speaker career counselling organised by the waff is an event for groups who require up-to-date information on the labour-market situation in Vienna, legislation governing work as well as on potential support during job search and after employment has been taken up.

The target group for the basic information on work and employment (first time job counselling) are fresh immigrants from non-EU countries with free access to the job market or who expect to receive this within one year, as well as newly immigrated citizens from the EEA area and Switzerland.

To make sure participants can relate to the event in terms of contents and issues, first-time job counselling is offered in Arabic, Bosnian/Serbian/Croat, Bulgarian, Chinese, English, German, Polish, Romanian, Russian and Turkish.

If you are new to Vienna and do not know enough about your rights, obligations and possibilities in the labour market, this is your chance to obtain information about this important matter in your native language.

We invite you cordially to participate in these events!
Please carry your Vienna Education Pass with you.
