Employment Pact Vienna

The Territorial Employment Pact (Territoriale Beschäftigungspakt, TBP) Vienna is a partnership between the city of Vienna, the waff, the PES Vienna, The Federal Ministry for Social Affairs /Regional Office of Vienna and representatives of the interests of employers and employees. The aim is to support the economic and employment-political development of the Vienna metropolitan area with well coordinated, future-relevant interventions at the level of labour market policies. The policies of the labour market and employment are linked with other political areas (social sector, business, education).

A special focus of the TBP Vienna is to provide support to persons threatened with the prospect of marginalisation. With funds provided by the European Social Fund (www.esf.at), initiatives are put in place for the following four target groups:

Regional pacts

The Vienna Employment Pact, in close cooperation with the leaders in the region of Vienna and various other partners, implements projects in the areas of vocational orientation, on site consulting and business in the district.

Since the focus of work is at the district level, the Regional Pacts in the Vienna Employment Pact cooperate chiefly with local partners.

In order to be able to reach out more effectively to specific target groups, cooperations exist with school administrations, schools and companies from the district, for instance. Where professional on site consulting is concerned, all organisations that have specific training and vocational counselling offers are involved in the concerned activities.

A coordination office has been set up to bring together organisations that implement the initiatives for youth with difficulties in the job market, at the interface between schools/vocation.
