Please note that counselling sessions of the waff are in German.
The waff – a Fund of the City of Vienna
Vienna was the first province in Austria which in 1995 created an institution specially geared to active labour market policy. For the waff, cooperation of the social partners and all important institutions in the fields of labour- market and economic policies is key to more job opportunities and an attractive business location.
The Vienna Employment Promotion Fund (waff) fosters:
- Better opportunities for employees in Vienna to develop in their careers by continuing education
- The removal of existing disadvantages in the labour market and the prevention of impending marginalisation in the employment system
- Equal opportunities for women and men in the labour market
- Further enhancement of Vienna’s appeal as a business location.
The waff is part of the purview of the Executive City Councillor of Finance and Economic Affairs. Its activities are primarily funded by the Municipality of Vienna.
